Each player will select a team of 11 parkrunners.
Each time a member of their team gets a new PB in Scotland they will score a point. The first person to 40 points will win.
Sounds simple. Well, it wouldn't be a pSS game if it didn't get more complicated would it.
You cannot though just choose anyone. You have a limited budget to buy a team.
Your budget is 300.
The prices of all parkrunners are determined by their current number of PBs set in Scotland in the Feb 11th table posted on Scottishparkruns. Each PB they have set adds a 1 to their price so someone who has set 10 PBs costs 10 whereas someone who has set 50 PBs costs 50. If someone has never set a PB in Scotland then you can sign them on a free.
You can sign yourself.
Player values with the bank are fixed (i.e. they will always be the price in the Feb 11th table).
1 point per PB (result must say "new PB!". The first run at an event does not count)
Only 5km parkruns count
You can change your team by using any remaining budget to sign additional players.
However you can never have more than 11 so you also need to lose a player for each additional one you sign beyond 11.
You can give a player away on a free or sell a player to another team in the game if you can negotiate a price. Players can also just be swapped between teams this can involve a player plus cash deal for another player.
You cannot sell a player back to the bank.
The game will start on Feb 25th.
Add your teams to this post by Feb 24th if you want to play. Please add the cost of each player in your team and their total cost.
You can give your team a name if you wish e.g. Jurecki's Geriatrics
Good luck parkrun fantasy team managers!
