Full details can be found here.
You need to complete a parkrun sticker album. First person to do so wins.
How do you get stickers? By running at Scottish parkruns. Each time you run an event you will win a card for everybody who took part at that event and who is also a member of one of the 58 Scottish running clubs included in the sticker album. Don't worry I will send each player a list of cards they collected each week and also update their total list of cards. You just need to decide where to run.
To fill your album you must collect a total of 206 cards. There's set number of different stickers you need to collect from each club as as follows:
Dundee Road Runners 12
Metro Aberdeen RRC 9Â
Lothian RC 8
Kirkcaldy Wizards 8

So that means you need 12 different stickers for Dundee RR (well the blighters get everywhere don't they), 9 for Metro Aberdeen etc etc.
They can be any 12 runners for Dundee RR but they must be different. That means if you get more than 12 you have potential swaps. If you get the same runner twice you also have a swap. Swaps with other players can occur at anytime but must be posted on the current game thread. Both parties must confirm they agree to the swap for it to be valid.
Here's an example. Let's say you ran at Drumpellier last Saturday. You would have got the following cards. Each card is a runner from a running club in the album who also ran that event.
28837 Bellahouston Harriers
38389 Bellahouston Harriers
4041712 Bellahouston Harriers
35044 Garscube Harriers
56182 Kirkintilloch Olympians
162621 Kirkintilloch Olympians
438971 Kirkintilloch Olympians
3362427 RTC Warriors
7177580 Shettleston Harriers
55434 Springburn Harriers.
You got 3 Bellahouston Harriers - you need 7 for your album.
You got 1 Garscube Harrier - you need 5 for your album.
You got 3 Kirkintilloch Olympians - you need 2 for your album so you've already got a potential swap.
You got 1 RTC Warrior - you need 2 for the album.
You for 1 Shettleston Harrier - you need 2 for the album.
You got 1 Springburn Harrier - you need 3 for the album.
Not a bad start.
Let's say you run there again the next week and among the runners was 55434 of Springburn Harriers but no other Springburn Harriers. You would still only have 1 different Springburn Harrier but you would have a spare Springburn Harrier card to swap.
There's no restrictions in swapping with other players but all players must be playing to win themselves not just to collect cards on behalf of another player. Any suspicious swapping activity will result in the confiscation of albums
Confused as feck. Well you should be as it's a pSS game. I'll say what I always say. It's not as complicated as it sounds but I admit it does sound fecking complicated
The game starts at the weekend (29th October 2022). I can't parkrun in Scotland either this weekend or next weekend so you can get a head start on me.
The game should allow some of the more fun aspects of the previous games - there's strategy as where you run will determine both the number and type of cards you'll get. There's opportunity for collaboration and of course that favourite of all pSS game components, working together to try to stop Doug winning.
If you want to take part then please post that you do so as a reply on this post as I need to know to create sets of stickers for each week. You can join the game late - I'll have to myself. Good luck!
RULE UPDATE (Yes already, I know!): Volunteering counts the same as running but 5ks only. No Jnrs.
N.B. If you're a member of one of those 58 running clubs and have registered as such with parkrun then you'll get yourself every time you run.
